The SeaWolf Dual Delay is a dual delay pedal from Hello Sailor Effects, a maker of hand-built effects. It puts two fully independent delay channels in one enclosure, so a player can run two different delay settings at once and layer them, or switch between them. Pedal of the Day, reviewing it in March 2025, described the layout as offering "incredible flexibility," and noted that the 450ms of maximum delay time "will give you plenty to work with"1.

What it does

The SeaWolf's two channels are fully independent, which means each can carry its own delay time and character at the same time. Pedal of the Day suggested a typical use: "Set one side for short, lush repeats with a long trail and the other for expansive, atmospheric echoes with a quick decay." The reviewer's overall verdict was that the pedal "sounds amazing," with lush repeats and expansive atmospheric echoes when the two sides are layered together1.

For a player comparing dual delays, the 450ms ceiling places the SeaWolf among pedals aimed at rhythmically shorter, denser echoes rather than long, self-oscillating sound-on-sound trails. It sits in the wider family of delay pedals, and Hello Sailor Effects also builds a single-channel version, the SeaWolf PT2399 Delay1.

Circuit and construction

Pedal of the Day described the SeaWolf as "inspired by the iconic Deep Blue Delay circuit but with a distinctive Hello Sailor Effects twist." The build departs from standard production methods: "Unlike standard PCB builds, this delay is hand-crafted on tagboard," the review noted, and the pedal is "packed with NOS mojo components, including Mullard Tropical Fish capacitors, for an authentic, rich sound"1.

Tagboard construction means the circuit is wired by hand on tagboard strip rather than printed circuit board, a slower method associated with small-batch builders. The use of new-old-stock parts, including Mullard Tropical Fish capacitors, is presented by the reviewer as contributing to the pedal's character1.

Appearance

The enclosure carries what Pedal of the Day called "that sick Princess Leia/David Bowie-inspired graphic"1.
