Mythos Argo Boost Deluxe "Proto Enclosure"

The Argo Boost Deluxe "Proto Enclosure" is a variant of the Mythos Argo Boost Deluxe from Mythos Pedals, a two-in-one boost and octave fuzz pedal developed with Mick Taylor of That Pedal Show. The Proto Enclosure version carries the same circuit in a different box: Mythos describes it as "a cast aluminum enclosure with simplified graphics," using the enclosures the company had originally planned for the pedal before moving to a bent metal box for the standard version¹.

What it does

The Proto Enclosure version is, in Mythos Pedals' words, the same pedal inside a different box: "Internally it's the same circuit" as the standard Argo Boost Deluxe¹. The difference is the housing: "this is in a cast aluminum enclosure with simplified graphics," built in the boxes the company was initially going to use for the pedal before switching to the standard enclosure¹. Mythos lists it as shipping in 5 to 7 business days¹.

In other words, the Proto Enclosure is a cosmetic variant rather than a different pedal. A player choosing between the two is choosing an enclosure and a look, not a circuit. For more on how the pedal itself works, see the Mythos Argo Boost Deluxe page, or the Mythos x TPS Argo Boost Deluxe page for the That Pedal Show edition¹.
