The GFI System Enieqma is a multipurpose equalizer pedal that packs three different EQ engines into one box, along with a boost. GFI System describes it as offering "unprecedented equalization capabilities in a pedal format"1: a 5-band full parametric EQ, a simple EQ class with 7 classic tone stacks, and a Pultec-style 3-band EQ. It is a stereo, dual-channel device, so it can shape two signal paths at once, and it carries MIDI, 64 presets and a display that shows the EQ curves as you edit23.
The maker's current list price is USD 439.001.
Three EQ modes: ParaEQ, SimplEQ and PultEQ
The Enieqma's three modes of EQ operation3 cover three different ways of thinking about tone shaping.
ParaEQ is a 5-band full parametric EQ, similar to what you find on mixing desks, but as Guitar Pedal X's reviewer Stefan Karlsson noted, "with one more band than most"2. Each band gives you Gain, Q and Freq controls, so you can cut or boost at any frequency, set how wide or narrow the cut is, and dial in exactly how much. Five parametric band dots sit on the panel, and a double tap on each toggles that band on and off2.
SimplEQ is the quick-dial mode: Bass, Mid and Treble2. Its interest lies in the tone stacks it models. The 7 classic tone stacks are2:
That means you can use it to reshape a guitar around a familiar amp-style tone control, or reach for a Baxandall or tilt curve for gentler, broader shaping312.
PultEQ is a Pultec-style 3-band EQ with Low Peak, Mid Dip and High Peak controls2, modeled on the classic studio EQ's approach of a low peak, a mid dip and a high peak.
A Combination mode lets you use the parametric EQ alongside one of the other modes4, so you can, for instance, run a Fender-style tone stack and still notch out a problem frequency with a parametric band.
| Mode | Controls | Character |
|---|---|---|
| ParaEQ | Gain, Q, Freq per band, 5 bands2 | Full parametric, mixing-desk style2 |
| SimplEQ | Bass, Mid, Treble2 | 7 classic tone stacks2 |
| PultEQ | Peak-Lo, Dip, Peak-Hi2 | Pultec-style 3-band2 |
The pedal also carries a library of pre-made EQ settings called Prototypes, several for each mode, which can be used as-is or modified to suit the current needs3. At present the library holds 44 settings for ParaEQ mode, 12 for SimplEQ mode and 12 for PultEQ mode, and GFI System says it is expandable through firmware updates1.
The controls and footswitches
The Enieqma has two footswitches, EQ and Boost5. The Volume/Boost knob adjusts volume from -9 dB to +9 dB, with a boost range up to +15 dB2, matching the maker's stated max boost level of +15 dB1.
The Mode/Type control works with a combination of gestures: turn for EQ mode, twist for filter type, tap for the options menu and hold for the globals menu2. The high-contrast display provides visual feedback and spectral information by rendering the stereo EQ curves simultaneously1, which is a large part of what makes a 5-band parametric EQ practical on a pedalboard: you can see the curve you are building rather than guessing at it.
Guitar Pedal X's reviewer put the pedal in perspective for anyone who knows the competition2:
"It kind of reminds me of a Boss EQ-200 on steroids - and with more visual flair (bigger and better screen)"2
Power and connections
The Enieqma runs on 9V DC at 280mA with a negative-center plug, and the power supply is not included1.
At 280mA, the Enieqma draws more current than a typical analog pedal, so plan for an isolated or adequately rated supply rather than a small daisy chain.
Connections and key specifications from the maker1:

| SNR | 114 dB typical |
| Dimensions | 12 x 12 cm (4.7 x 4.7 inch) |
The stereo operation is a core feature rather than an afterthought. GFI System states the Enieqma has true stereo EQ processors, with the left and right channel EQ parameters linkable or settable independently1, and Delicious Audio likewise describes it as a stereo, dual-channel device3. For a player running a stereo rig, that means two separate EQ curves, one per side, both visible on the display at once.
The MIDI input and thru on a 1/8 inch TRS connector1 lets the pedal slot into a MIDI-controlled pedalboard, and the Type C USB connector1 handles firmware updates, which is how the Prototypes library grows over time. The current firmware is version 1.2.5, released August 26, 2026, and the user manual is at revision D, dated August 19, 20265.

Questions
Is the GFI System Enieqma analog or digital?
It is a digital pedal, with 24-bit, 48 kHz AD/DA conversion. The EQ engines, presets and display are all handled digitally, and the pedal runs buffered bypass rather than true bypass.
Does the Enieqma work in stereo?
Yes. GFI System describes it as having true stereo EQ processors, and the left and right channel EQ parameters can be linked or set independently. The high-contrast display renders both stereo EQ curves at the same time.
Can you control the Enieqma with MIDI?
Yes. The pedal has a MIDI input and MIDI thru on a 1/8 inch TRS connector, so it can be integrated into a MIDI-controlled pedalboard for preset switching and control.
How many presets does the Enieqma hold?
Guitar Pedal X's review lists 64 presets. The pedal also carries a library of pre-made EQ settings called Prototypes: 44 for ParaEQ mode, 12 for SimplEQ mode and 12 for PultEQ mode, expandable through firmware updates.
Which amp tone stacks does the Enieqma model?
The SimplEQ mode offers 7 classic tone stacks: Fender Amp, Marshall Amp, Vox Amp, 2-Band Baxandall, Wah, Tilt EQ and Scooped Tilt EQ. These can be used as-is or modified to taste.
