The JAM Pedals Pink Flow is a complete analog multi-effect that puts seven JAM circuits in one box, in a fixed order: Seagull, Dyna-ssoR, Tubedreamer, Red Muck, a send/return loop, WaterFall, Ripple and Delay Llama1. JAM Pedals describes it as designed to bring Pink Floyd-inspired textures to life while remaining versatile enough for any live or recording rig1. On That Pedal Show, the company called it their first standard multi-pedal, with another planned2.
What is in the chain
The Pink Flow combines circuits from JAM's own line in one carefully ordered chain1. For a player, that means the gain stages come first, then a loop for your own pedals, then modulation and delay:
| Position | Section | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Seagull | Fuzz, first in the chain1 |
| 2 | Dyna-ssoR | Compressor1 |
| 3 | Tubedreamer | Overdrive1 |
| 4 | Red Muck | Distortion/fuzz1 |
| 5 | Send/return loop | Insert point for external pedals1 |
| 6 | WaterFall | Analog BBD chorus/vibrato with two intensity ranges3 |
| 7 | Ripple | Vibrato1 |
| 8 | Delay Llama | Delay1 |
The WaterFall section provides analog BBD chorus and vibrato with two intensity ranges3. The send/return loop sits after the Red Muck and before the WaterFall, so anything you plug in there lands between your gain stages and your modulation and delay1.
Buffer, bypass and power
The Pink Flow runs on 9V DC, center-negative1. The bypass is selectable between true and buffered, and the buffer sits before the send jack1. You change the buffer setting by powering up while holding the Seagull footswitch: two blinks indicate the buffer is off, three indicate it is on1.
Because the buffer sits before the send jack, switching it on keeps your signal strong up to the point where external pedals connect through the loop, which matters on long cable runs to and from a pedalboard.
Custom artwork versions
JAM Pedals sells the Pink Flow in three custom artwork versions alongside the standard pedal: "SteamPink", "Evil Flow" and "Relic"4. The company is explicit that these are the same sound with different artwork3. Each is a one-of-a-kind hand-painted piece, so the pedal you receive will differ in detail from the photos shown1.
| Version | Artwork | Sound | Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Pink Flow | Standard finish | Baseline | 9V DC, center-negative1 |
| "SteamPink" Pink Flow | Hand-painted, one of a kind5 | Same as standard5 | 9V DC, center-negative1 |
| "Evil Flow" Pink Flow | Hand-painted, one of a kind3 | Same as standard5 | 9V DC, center-negative1 |
| "Relic" Pink Flow | Hand-painted, one of a kind6 | Same as standard5 | 9V DC, center-negative1 |
All three custom versions share the same dimensions and weight as the standard pedal: 40 x 17 x 6.7 cm / 15.7 x 6.7 x 2.6 in and 1.75 kg / 3.9 lb356.
Where it came from
On That Pedal Show in August 2023, JAM Pedals' Jannis Anastasakis and the team explained the Pink Flow's place in the company's range2:
The company later followed the multi-pedal format with the Greg Koch signature Koch Ness Monster units.
What reviewers said
That Pedal Show reviewed the Pink Flow in November 2023. On noise, Mick Taylor found it2:
"remarkably quiet in operation it's wonderful really well sorted"

Questions
Is the JAM Pink Flow true bypass?
The bypass is selectable between true and buffered. The buffer sits before the send jack, and you switch it on or off by powering up while holding the Seagull footswitch: two blinks mean the buffer is off, three blinks mean it is on.
Where is the effects loop on the Pink Flow?
The send/return loop sits in the middle of the signal chain, after the Red Muck and before the WaterFall. The full order is Seagull, Dyna-ssoR, Tubedreamer, Red Muck, send/return loop, WaterFall, Ripple, Delay Llama.
How big and heavy is the JAM Pink Flow?
It measures 40 x 17 x 6.7 cm, or 15.7 x 6.7 x 2.6 inches, and weighs 1.75 kg, or 3.9 lb. Those figures are the same across the standard pedal and the custom artwork versions.
Is the Pink Flow analog or digital?
It is a complete analog multi-effect. JAM Pedals describes it as designed to bring Pink Floyd-inspired textures to life while remaining versatile enough for any live or recording rig. The WaterFall section, for example, is an analog BBD chorus and vibrato.
Do the Relic, Evil Flow and SteamPink versions sound different?
No. JAM Pedals lists the Relic, Evil Flow and SteamPink as custom artwork versions of the same pedal: same sound, different artwork. Each is a one-of-a-kind hand-painted piece, so the pedal you receive will differ in detail from the photos shown.
