The JET Pedals Revelation Reverb is a compact reverb pedal aimed at players who want big, ambient sounds from a small box. JET Pedals pitches it plainly: "If huge, ethereal sounds are what you're after, this is your reverb."1 The current version runs six studio-grade algorithms, from a classic spring tank emulation to an unusual reverse "anti-shimmer," and it carries six onboard presets, expandable to 127 over MIDI.1
The wet side is digital, but the dry signal stays analog: the maker describes the pedal as having stereo analog dry thru, so your unprocessed signal never gets converted.1 RockBoard's product page for the V3 lists the circuit type as analog, so the two listings disagree on the label, but both agree the dry path is analog.2
The six reverb algorithms
The heart of the pedal is its algorithm set. JET Pedals describes each one on the product page1:
| Algorithm | What the maker says it does |
|---|---|
| Spring | Classic spring tank sound with lively resonance and bounce |
| Room | Natural, small-space ambiance for subtle depth |
| Plate | Vintage studio plate reverb with smooth and bright decay |
| Modulated | Lush, modulated tails that add movement and dimension |
| Shimmer | Ethereal, octave-up reflections for a spacious, ambient wash |
| Anti-Shimmer | Reverse shimmer effect for unique, deep atmospheric tones |
The Anti-Shimmer algorithm is the unusual one. Pedal of the Day, reviewing the earlier V2.0, explained that the Yellow "Sub" algorithm, most commonly known as Anti-Shimmer, "uses warm hall reverb for the base, but you can blend in a lower octave and also a sub-octave simultaneously."3 Where a shimmer reverb adds an octave above, this one pushes the tail downward, which is what gives it those deep atmospheric tones.
The controls: Mix, Decay, Cntrl and the pre-delay toggle
The panel keeps things tight, with three knobs and a toggle4:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mix | Controls the overall loudness of the reverb, counter-clockwise minimum to clockwise maximum |
| Decay | Sets the length of the reverb trails |
| Cntrl 1 | Changes a unique characteristic depending on the algorithm; for example, it adds modulation to the Plate reverb |
| Toggle switch | Selects 0, 50, or 100 milliseconds of pre-delay |
Pre-delay is the gap between your note and the start of the reverb, and the three-position toggle makes it quick to set: the middle position gives 50ms and the bottom position 100ms of pre-delay.1
Two deeper Mix behaviors are worth knowing. The Mix knob can be set up in Global Settings with custom mix tapers, to remove more or less of your dry signal.1 And on the V2.0, Pedal of the Day noted that the knobs are not active in preset mode, so a saved preset overrides the panel positions.3
Presets, modes, Infinite Bloom and MIDI
The pedal holds six onboard presets, and via MIDI that expands to 127.12 The V3 adds three operating modes: live mode, preset mode and kill-dry mode.2 Kill-dry removes the dry signal entirely, leaving only reverb, which suits parallel loops and ambient swells.
The Preset switch does double duty. A short press engages or disengages preset mode; pressing and holding engages the Infinite Bloom feature, which slowly ramps the Decay knob up to max.1 In practice that means a held chord blooms into an ever-growing tail rather than fading out.
MIDI control is full: every knob, switch, algorithm and preset can be addressed externally.12 The pedal receives MIDI on channels 1 through 16, fully assignable across all functions.56
Changing the MIDI channel is a power-up procedure, per the maker's manual6:
- Apply power and hold down the Preset switch while the pedal is in startup mode, with the Mix and Decay knobs lit white and the Bypass and Preset LEDs flashing.
- Press the Bypass switch to increment the MIDI channel by 1.
- Release the Preset switch to save the channel to permanent memory.
From the factory the pedal is set to receive MIDI messages on channel 1.6
Power and connections
The Revelation runs on a 9V DC center-negative (negative tip) power supply, which is not included, and draws 250mA.12 That current draw rules out a standard 9V battery and is more than a typical compact pedal, so it wants a proper isolated or high-current output on your power supply rather than a shared daisy chain.
The pedal draws 250mA.1
Connections are stereo: the pedal has full stereo analog dry thru and is compatible with mono and stereo setups.57
Versions: V2.0 and V3
The Revelation has gone through distinct generations, and the differences are substantial.
The Revelation V2.0, documented by Delicious Audio in March 2021, was a three-mode stereo digital reverb with three presets and a streamlined control panel of just three knobs: Mix, Decay and Cntrl.4 Its three algorithms were named by color: Cyan (Sky Blue), White (Ice) and Yellow (Sub).4 Delicious Audio added it to its list of the Best Multi-Mode Compact Reverbs with 3-4 modes.4
The Revelation Ambient Reverb V2.0, as reviewed by Pedal of the Day, built on the first popular version of the pedal, with upgrades including true stereo inputs and outputs, three user-selectable presets and over one minute of decay.3 The reviewer's verdict was enthusiastic:
The same reviewer added that "the Stereo signals are just incredible when you hook into two amplifiers."3
The V3 is the current version. RockBoard's product page notes that JET Pedals added three brand new algorithms in V3: Spring, Room and Plate.2 That is what took the pedal from three modes to six, and it also brought the six onboard presets (127 with MIDI), full MIDI control over every knob, switch, algorithm and preset, and the live, preset and kill-dry modes.2 The current pedal is offered in Black and White color options.1

Questions
Is the JET Pedals Revelation Reverb analog or digital?
The reverbs are digital algorithms, but the dry signal passes through in stereo analog form, what JET Pedals calls stereo analog dry thru. So your untouched guitar signal stays analog while the wet reverb tail is digital. RockBoard's product page lists the V3's circuit type as analog, so the two listings disagree on how to label the circuit overall.
Does the Revelation Reverb have a kill-dry mode?
Yes. The V3 offers a live mode, a preset mode and a kill-dry mode. Kill-dry removes the dry signal so only the reverb is heard, which is useful in parallel effects loops or ambient setups. It is one of the modes listed on the maker's product page.
How do I change the MIDI channel on the Revelation Reverb?
From the factory it receives MIDI on channel 1. To change it, apply power and hold down the Preset switch while the pedal is in startup mode, with the Mix and Decay knobs lit white and the Bypass and Preset LEDs flashing. Press the Bypass switch to increment the channel by 1, then release the Preset switch to save it to permanent memory. Channels 1 through 16 are available.
Is the Revelation Reverb stereo?
Yes. It has full stereo analog dry thru and is compatible with both mono and stereo setups. The earlier V2.0 also had true stereo inputs and outputs, and Pedal of the Day's reviewer found the stereo signals into two amplifiers to be a highlight of that version.
What does Infinite Bloom do on the Revelation?
Pressing and holding the Preset switch engages Infinite Bloom, which slowly ramps the Decay knob up to maximum. The effect is a reverb tail that keeps growing, letting a chord or note swell into an endless ambient wash. A short press of the same switch instead engages or disengages preset mode.
