The JET Pedals Revelation Ambient Reverb V2.0 is a three-mode stereo digital reverb built for ambient players. It carries three user selectable algorithms, three selectable presets, and a streamlined control panel with just three knobs: Mix, Decay and Cntrl. True stereo inputs and outputs are among the upgrades this version brought over the first Revelation Reverb, and both footswitches use soft click bypass switching12.
The three algorithms
Each algorithm is identified by an LED color, and multi-colored LEDs show the preset and algorithm status1.
| Algorithm | LED color | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Mod | Cyan (Sky Blue) | Creates deep, lush modulated hall type reverbs1 |
| Shimmer | White (Ice) | A shimmer algorithm based on a warmer hall type reverb that can also create an upper octave fed into the reverb trails, for pads that cut through the mix12 |
| Sub | Yellow (Sub) | Known as "Anti-Shimmer": warm hall reverb for the base, with a blendable lower octave and a sub-octave simultaneously12 |
The Sub mode is the one that sets this pedal apart from most reverb pedals. Where a shimmer adds an octave above, the Sub algorithm, most commonly known as "Anti-Shimmer," lets you blend a lower octave and a sub-octave into a warm hall reverb at the same time12.
Controls and presets
The panel is deliberately small, with three knobs2:
- Mix sets the amount of reverb present, from 0 to 100% wet1
- Decay sets the length of the reverb trails1
- Cntrl works differently depending on which algorithm you have selected1
The pedal stores three selectable presets, and the knobs are not active in preset mode12. That means a preset holds its own settings regardless of where the panel knobs sit, so the knob positions on the face of the pedal will not tell you what a preset contains. The multi-colored LEDs are what show you the preset and algorithm status1.
Version 2.0 and the original Revelation
The V2.0 builds on the first, popular version of the pedal, the JET Pedals Revelation Reverb12. The headline upgrade is true stereo in's and out's, which the earlier version did not have1.
Delicious Audio, writing in March 2021, added the pedal to its list of the Best Multi-Mode Compact Reverbs with 3-4 modes2.
What reviewers said
Pedal of the Day's reviewer was struck by the stereo imaging and the range of the three modes12:
"There's a lot going on with this purple beauty"
The same review noted the pedal's purple enclosure, calling it "this purple beauty"1.
Both published accounts of this pedal date from March 2021. Check the maker's documentation for power requirements and current draw before slotting it into a powered board.

Questions
What is the Sub algorithm on the JET Pedals Revelation?
The Sub algorithm, shown in yellow and often called Anti-Shimmer, uses a warm hall reverb as its base. On top of that you can blend in a lower octave and also a sub-octave at the same time, which is the mirror image of what a shimmer reverb does with an upper octave.
Is the JET Pedals Revelation V2.0 true stereo?
Yes. True stereo inputs and outputs are among the upgrades the V2.0 brought over the original Revelation Reverb, and Pedal of the Day's reviewer found the stereo signals especially effective when hooked into two amplifiers.
How many presets does the Revelation V2.0 have?
The pedal has three selectable presets. In preset mode the knobs are not active, so the panel settings you see do not reflect what the preset contains. Multi-colored LEDs show the preset and algorithm status.
Is the JET Pedals Revelation true bypass?
The Revelation V2.0 uses soft click bypass switching on its footswitches, according to both Pedal of the Day and Delicious Audio.
What do the knobs do in preset mode?
Nothing. The three selectable presets are stored independently of the panel, and the knobs are not active in preset mode. To adjust a sound with the Mix, Decay and Cntrl knobs you work from the panel setting rather than a stored preset.
