The MOOER MVP2 Harmonier is a vocal processor pedal from MOOER, a company the maker says burst onto the music products scene in 2010. At its core is a pitch harmonizer effect, and MOOER describes the pedal as a versatile and innovative vocal processor designed to elevate both vocal and guitar performance. It sits among the vocal pedals alongside units like the Boss VE-2 Vocal Harmonist and the TC Helicon Harmony Singer 2.1

Harmonizer, key and reverb

The main effect is a pitch harmonizer. The Key dial lets users harmonize their input with any note in the chromatic scale, so the harmony can be matched to whatever song is being played.1

The pedal also carries an internal reverb module with adjustable volume. MOOER's method for reaching it is a combination move: press and hold the Sharp button while rotating the Level dial, which adjusts the volume of the reverb.1

Footswitches, presets and controls

The MVP2 is run from two footswitches, three tone modes and seven preset slots1.

  • Left footswitch: held to save effect presets, pressed to scroll through 7 preset slots1
  • Right footswitch: pressed to turn on the pedal's effects, pressed again to isolate the reverb, and held to turn off all effects except the tone setting1
  • Tone modes: flat, warm, and bright1
  • Key dial: selects the harmony note from anywhere in the chromatic scale1
  • Sharp button plus Level dial: held and turned together to adjust the internal reverb's volume1

Power and connections

The MVP2 runs from a DC 9V 500mA power input. The maker does not list a battery option, so a 9V DC supply is needed to run it.1

The pedal draws 500mA at 9V, which is more than some daisy-chain supplies comfortably share across several pedals. A dedicated 9V supply rated for at least 500mA is the safe choice.

Connections are flexible for a vocal pedal: the Harmonier supports both XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs, so it can sit in a microphone chain or a guitar or line chain.1
