The Source Audio SA 260A One Series Nemesis Delay ADT is a delay pedal and the newly updated version of the original One Series Nemesis Delay. The update adds new delay engines and Analog Dry Through, the feature the ADT abbreviation stands for: in bypass mode, your signal runs completely unchanged through the pedal1.

At announcement in November 2023 the pedal was a pre-order, expected to ship in roughly 7 to 9 weeks, probably mid-January 20241.

Engines and sound

The engine count rises from 24 on the original to 26. As with its predecessor, twelve engines sit on the pedal itself and the rest are accessed through the Neuro Mobile app1. Two of the newer engines give a sense of the range:

  • Drum Echo: gearnews describes it as creating "beautifully wobbling delays in the style of old Binson Echorecs," the magnetic drum echo units prized for their warble1.
  • Oil Can: the sound of a Tel-Ray Electronics sound chamber from the fifties, another vintage storage-based delay design1.
  • Resonant Analog: "a very dark sound from a Bucket Brigade chip," aimed at particularly soft, long-lasting echoes1.

Controls and connectivity

The layout carries over from the original. There is a tap tempo footswitch, a mini-USB connection, and five controls for time, feedback, mod, rate, intensity, and mix1. The pedal is operated via a 9-volt connection1.

One new rear-panel option: the pedal input on the back offers a choice between expression and switch functionality, so the same jack can take an expression pedal or act as a switch1. Preset switching over MIDI is covered in the FAQ above.

Where it sits in Source Audio's delay range

The Nemesis ADT is one of several delay pedals from Source Audio. The company's Collider Delay + Reverb pairs delay with reverb in one enclosure, and the later Encounter Ambient Delay+Reverb continues that dual-engine approach. For the wider category, see Delay Pedals.

Questions

What does Analog Dry Thru mean on the Nemesis Delay ADT?

Analog Dry Through, the ADT in the name, means that in bypass mode your guitar's signal runs completely unchanged through the pedal rather than being converted and processed digitally. Players who want their clean tone untouched when the delay is switched off, or who use the pedal in a loop where conversion color matters, get a fully analog dry path alongside the digital delay engines.

How many delay engines are on the pedal itself?

Twelve of the 26 delay engines are available directly from the pedal's front panel. The remaining engines are reached through the Neuro Mobile app, which is how the original Nemesis handled its extended engine set as well. The update raised the total from 24 engines to 26.

How many presets can the Nemesis Delay ADT store?

The pedal stores up to 128 presets. According to gearnews, you can switch between them with an additional MIDI expression pedal, and the pedal's rear input can be set to either expression or switch functionality.

Can I switch presets with a MIDI expression pedal?

Yes. Up to 128 presets are available, and gearnews reports they can be switched between with an additional MIDI expression pedal. The pedal input on the back offers a choice between expression and switch functionality, so the same jack can serve either role depending on how you set it up.

How is the ADT version different from the original One Series Nemesis Delay?

The SA 260A is the newly updated version of the original One Series Nemesis Delay. It raises the engine count from 24 to 26, adds Analog Dry Through so the bypassed signal runs unchanged through the pedal, and keeps the tap tempo footswitch, mini-USB connection, and the original's five controls. The original model remains a separate product.
