The lineage of the idea runs through a one-off project. In February 2012, Dr. No Effects posted about a custom '64 Ford Falcon built for Eric Corton, describing it as "My newest project for Eric Corton" and saying "This Ford got a new Fuzzz engine and is transformed into a very cool sounding guitar effect"5. That car was a one-off custom project, not a standard product line item5. By March 2012 the Ford Falcon Fuzz Car was announced as a new effect with a fuzz engine, available in limited editions in gray or black shiny metallic2.

Limited editions and the germanium run
The Ford Falcon Fuzz was built from 2012 until 2015 in black and silver3. After the 2015 discontinuation1, Dr. No Effects brought it back in short limited runs.
The 2012 Ford Falcon Fuzzz Limited Edition was sold through the Cortonville website of Eric Corton, one of the initiatives kicking off on that site6. Those pedals came in black or gray, were numbered, and were packed in a silkscreened box6. Dr. No Effects framed them plainly: "The Fuzz will be available at limited editions only for the extreme boutique effects fans!"6
In 2018, Dr. No Effects announced a return, building a small series with a germanium fuzz inside, made in a limited amount in black and silver 1/18 scale die-cast steel models3. That announcement described the circuit as an AC128 germanium matched pair fuzz3.
The 2026 limited silver edition is a two-knob version that comes with a custom-made paper box with silkscreen, a keychain, a spare engine, and stickers4. The key difference from earlier production is the transistor type: the previous runs had a silicon transistor fuzz, while this limited run has a rare NOS AC128 germanium fuzz circuit4. That 2026 small series is sold out4, and the black edition product page also lists a small series available in 20261.
