The Parra Disaster Transport is a limited edition version of EarthQuaker Devices' modulated delay pedal, the Disaster Transport, with enclosure art by the Dutch artist Pieter "Parra" Janssen. It is an analog-voiced digital delay, and Guitar World reported that it was upgraded and filtered to "sound more like an analog delay than any of the previous iterations"1. The pedal was sold as a Reverb exclusive, limited to 500 units and one per customer, at $24912.
A limited run and a revival of the original
The original Disaster Transport pedals had been out of production for some time before EarthQuaker Devices brought the design back in 2023. Guitar World described the return as the "triumphant return of its OG Disaster Transport" delay pedal, with the brand's "cult modulation delay" returning as a Reverb exclusive1.
The Parra edition shares its features with the Disaster Transport Legacy Reissue, differing in the artwork on the enclosure. MusicRadar called it "a special limited edition version of the Disaster Transport that sports enclosure art from Parra, and the same features"2.
Once the 500 units sold, the Disaster Transport returned to discontinued status. Guitar World: "A total of 500 pedals will be made, and then the Disaster Transport will slip back into discontinued territory"1.
Controls and switching
The Parra Disaster Transport carries five knobs, two toggle switches and two footswitches. Guitar World noted that the original three versions of the Disaster Transport had either four, six or 10 control knobs, while this revival settles on five1.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Time knob | Sets delay time, spanning 30ms to 600ms1 |
| Repeats knob | Standard delay repeats control1 |
| Mix knob | Mix parameter to tie the blend together1 |
| Mod Mode switch | Dictates Bend or Stretch modes and controls the modulation rate of the effect1 |
| Mod Speed toggle | Accesses Slow, Fast and Medium modulation speed options1 |
| Two footswitches | One for each effect, with Flexi-Switch technology1 |
Flexi-Switch, EarthQuaker Devices' switching design, allows both momentary and latch-style operation, meaning an effect can be fully engaged or held on only while the switch is pressed1.
Where it sits in the EarthQuaker Devices delay range
The Parra Disaster Transport belongs to the same family of delay pedals as the Disaster Transport SR, the Space Spiral Modulated Delay and the Avalanche Run V2. Players looking at modulated delays from the same maker can compare it against those, or against the later Silos multi-mode delay. For the wider picture, see the site's Delay Pedals page.

Questions
Is the EarthQuaker Devices Parra Disaster Transport still in production?
No. The Parra Disaster Transport was a limited edition revival of the original Disaster Transport, which had been out of production for some time. Guitar World reported that a total of 500 pedals would be made, and that once they were gone the Disaster Transport would slip back into discontinued territory. The pedal was also limited to one unit per customer, so it was sold as a single-run Reverb exclusive rather than a standard catalog product.
How many Parra Disaster Transport pedals were made?
500. MusicRadar reported the pedal was limited to 500 units, and Guitar World likewise stated that a total of 500 pedals would be made before the Disaster Transport returned to discontinued status. Buyers were limited to one unit per customer.
How much did the Parra Disaster Transport cost?
The Parra Disaster Transport was priced at $249 in the United States when it launched in May 2023. MusicRadar later listed the same pedal at £210 / $249, so the US price was consistent across both reports. It was sold through Reverb as an exclusive.
What is Flexi-Switch on the Disaster Transport?
Flexi-Switch is EarthQuaker Devices' switching technology that allows both momentary and latch-style operation. With the Parra Disaster Transport's two footswitches, one for each effect, a player can hold a switch down for a temporary effect or tap it to latch the effect fully engaged until pressed again.
What is the delay time range of the Parra Disaster Transport?
The Time knob spans 30ms to 600ms, according to Guitar World's report on the pedal. It works alongside a standard Repeats knob and a Mix knob to set the overall balance of the delayed signal.
