With its DIY DNA and such products as the Absolute Destruction and Apocalypse fuzz pedals, the Echo Master and Echo Dream II delays, and the aptly-named Total Sonic Annihilation feedback looper, Death by Audio has carved out a name for itself in the boutique pedal scene. These handmade pedals aren’t just about mind-blowing, face-melting sonic barrages, either; they’re tough enough to survive even the most savage of stages.

The Absolute Destruction is arguably Death by Audio’s most insane pedal yet. The Apocalypse is touted as Death by Audio’s jack-of-all-trades fuzz pedal. Once greatly overdriven, the signal is routed to your chosen post-amp. The Echo Dream 2 from Death by Audio is a lo-fi modulating delay pedal capable of driving into fuzzed-out madness. The Death by Audio Exit Index is a 100% analog warped tremolo and dirty distortion. It features controls for blend (Honey), speed (Romance), intensity/shape (Blood), and drive/rate (Fantasy), as well as expression in and two speed range modes. The Exit Index responds to input levels dynamically and is limited to a run of 157 units. Designed in response to the familiar tones created by the majority of tremolo pedals, it takes tremolo somewhere different. The Ghost Delay from Death by Audio is built around three distinct delay circuits cascading into each other.
