EarthQuaker Devices’ Hummingbird repeat percussion tremolo pedal is an absolute beast when it comes to adding tremolo textures to your sound. Pick between the Slow, Mid-Tempo, and Fast modes then play around with the Rate and Depth control knobs to dish out everything from classic shimmering tremolo effects to helicopter chops and abrupt, synth-like pulses. V4 adds Flexi-Switch capability, which means the footswitch can act as both a latching and a momentary-type switch. Plug in an external expression pedal and you get even more freedom of control over the tremolo rate.

The Donner Ripple is a mini, all-analog circuit tremolo pedal equipped with basic adjustment knobs. It boasts classic tremolo effects with a broad range of depth and speed. The Ripple carries three function knobs: Speed, Depth, and Color. Use Color to select the effect brightness, Speed to determine the effect speed, and Depth to set the effect depth. The analog signal path is coupled with a microprocessor controller to give you a range of quirky features. The Tremolo boasts a double speed switch and multiple selectable waveforms, from sine and sharkfin wave to square wave and chop. That is comparable with the Empress Tremolo regarding its shaping ability but has a bit more far-out settings.
