The TC Electronic Fluorescence is a shimmer reverb pedal from TC Electronic. TC Electronic lists it as the Fluorescence Shimmer Reverb, a compact effects pedal in the company's reverb lineup1.
What it does
Shimmer reverb layers a pitch-shifted octave on top of a reverb tail, so the effect seems to rise and glow rather than simply decay. TC Electronic describes the Fluorescence as a reverb pedal with an intuitive four-knob interface, aimed at modern and ethereal reverb sounds1.
The four-knob layout keeps the pedal simple to dial in compared with menu-driven reverb units, which suits players who want ambient sounds without deep editing. TC Electronic's own reverb range includes the Hall of Fame 2, the Skysurfer and the T2 Reverb, with the Fluorescence covering the shimmer end of that ground1.
