Mr Black Launches the Analog Chorus/Vibrato Deluxe Leave a comment

Mr Black Pedals has launched an expanded version of its Analog Chorus/Vibrato—the Analog Chorus/Vibrato Deluxe high-fidelity BBD time modulator.

Built as an expansion of its highly-coveted three-knob predecessor, the new Analog Chorus/Vibrato Deluxe features even more options, tones, and controls. At its core, old-school bucket-brigade chips are responsible for the sounds, following up on the name’s commitment to a rounded analog-esque chorus instead of a more brittle digital one.

An all-new LFO enables tap-tempo input and offers four distinct waveforms—Glitch/Random, Sine, Square, and Triangle—selectable by holding the Tap[Wave] footswitch. Control-wise, it carries the standard Wet/Dry, Width, and Rate dials, along with the more outre Lag and Shine parameters, allowing for a wider variety of chorus and vibrato timbres.

“At its extremes, the Analog Chorus/Vibrato Deluxe can get downright ‘useless’ and unnatural, creating ‘drunk auto-tune’ madness when using the Glitch wave and a slow Rate, bleeping and blooping like a broken computer when using the Square wave and higher Rates, and with more ‘sane’ settings can create smooth and tender pitch vibrato with the Sine wave, and then come right back to where it all began with all knobs at noon running the even-keeled Triangle wave,” Mr Black Pedals detailed.

The Mr Black Analog Chorus/Vibrato Deluxe is now available for $329.95.
