Z.Vex has always been enthusiastic about giving its Fuzz Factory pedal some eye-catching transformations. Last May, the brand launched a see-through variant of the pedal, sporting a clear, Lexan chassis.
The Abbey Road Fuzz Factory 7 comes in a pretty, sparkling light blue enclosure with a unique printed art showcasing four favorite pedal characters crossing the street in honor of the legendary album cover. The NOS 1960s germanium transistors have also been hand-painted with the anniversary years.
While the Fat Fuzz Factory incorporates a three-way toggle, the Fuzz Factory 7 carries a nine position rotary switch and covers a vast sonic territory, from earth-shattering low frequencies to dog-whistle high frequencies. It also includes a passive tone control with a separate switch to roll off the high end if necessary.
Fifty years after its launch, the iconic Abbey Road album continues to inspire both aspiring musicians carrying a guitar for the first time and seasoned career performers.
The Abbey Road 50th Anniversary Fuzz Factory 7 pedal is already available in a highly limited run of only 12 units for $469.
