Allen Eden Launches the Black Waves Distortion Leave a comment

Allen Eden Guitars has introduced the Black Waves Distortion, a versatile stompbox that captures the loud, full-bodied classic Rat tone popularized in the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Sporting a classic three-knob layout, the Black Waves Distortion enables players to manage the tone, volume, and gain going to the amp. That allows for a tamed LM308 sound while also injecting a grinding electric effect.

The Black Waves Distortion comes in a super solid metal chassis and employs the LM308 chip that makes it versatile enough for several rigs. It boasts a trio of distinguishing modes: Vintage, Turbo, and LOUD.

“While the vintage delivers everything from a mild overdrive to a full gain distortion that doesn‘t over power your tone, The Turbo mode really thickens up the tone giving you a beefier modern sound on the verge of fuzz. On the other hand, the LOUD mode removes the clipping diodes and this makes the pedal do exactly what it says. It makes the pedal LOUD, harnessing enough volume to act as a clean boost and drive your amplifier into submission,” Allen Eden Guitars detailed.

The Allen Eden Black Waves Distortion effect stompbox is already available at aeguitars.com for only $54.99. The unit is a true bypass and runs on a 9V battery or standard 9V adapter. Hear it in action below:
