Boss teased a new Waza Craft compact pedal, showing it only as coming soon. The announcement gave no name for the unit, but confirmed the pedal will be in Boss' standard compact form factor¹.

Waza Craft is Boss' line of classic compact stompboxes that have been reworked into a new but entirely faithful premium version¹. Boss itself describes the range plainly:

By the time of the teaser, Boss had issued Waza Craft versions of eight pedals³:

• BD-2 Blues Driver
• SD-1 Super Overdrive
• DM-2 Delay
• CE-2 Chorus
• VB-2 Vibrato
• TU-3 Chromatic Tuner
• MT-2 Metal Zone
• DC-2 Dimension C³

The series began when Boss announced a new line of special edition compact pedals, three classic Boss pedals built around discrete analog circuitry and designed by the master engineers at Boss in Japan⁴⁵. The first Waza Craft update of an existing pedal was the BD-2W, an updated version of the BD-2 Blues Driver released in 2015⁶.

The teaser gave no controls, features, price or release date for the new pedal, so which of the eight circuits it reworks, or whether it is something new to the line, remained open¹.
