NUX Launches the Duotime Dual-Delay Engine Leave a comment

NUX has unleashed the Duotime Dual-Delay Engine, a real stereo delay stompbox featuring separate time / sub-division & repeat dials.

“In the 80’s, all of the professional musicians used rack-mount effects to run stereo delay. It was the golden era of legendary engineering like Lexicon Delta, TC 2290, Eventide H3000, and more. When we talked to ‘working musicians’ we found that they were looking for a great stereo delay with a compact size and ultra-simple controls. So we discussed the absolutely essential requirements and developed the duotime Dual Delay Engine,” NUX detailed.

Intuitive and ultra-musical, the Duotime serves up five delay types: Tape Echo (55ms~552ms) based on RE-201 Tape Echo algorithm featuring NUX Core Image Technology; Analog Delay (40ms~402ms) based upon the BBD; Digi Delay (80ms~1000ms) based on the latest digital delay algorithm with magic compression plus filter; VERB Delay (80ms~1000ms) for a 3D delay sound; and MOD Delay (20ms~1499ms) spec’d from the Ibanez DML algorithm. No wonder NUX calls it “the most versatile delay pedal ever.”

The Duotime is controllable using the Loop Level, Parameter, Time 1, Time 2, Repeat 1, and Repeat 2 knobs as well as a Delay Type Selector.

Designed and built in NUX’s China headquarters, the Duotime Dual-Delay Engine is already available for $149. Check out the company’s video demo below.
