Orange Amps Releases the Acoustic Pedal Preamp Leave a comment

Orange Amps has unveiled a stompbox-sized preamp for acoustic players—the Acoustic Pedal, perfect for live playing and recording.

According to Orange Amps, the new stompbox “takes all the know-how of [their] acclaimed Acoustic Pre TC preamp and Crush Acoustic 30 amplifier, cramming it all into a do-it-all, compact preamp pedal.”

The Acoustic Pedal comes with a buffered effects loop along with quarter-inch jacks for input and output. Coupling that with its high-headroom JFET amplification means you wouldn’t encounter any impedance or clipping issues when integrating the unit into a full pedalboard. Even better, a balanced XLR output allows for easy connection to a recording interface or mixing desk.

Control dials let you adjust bass, treble, volume, and midrange. For eradicating volume feedback, the Acoustic Pedal has a notch filter with controls for the notch frequency and its width.

All of that comes in a footswitch-less metal chassis and runs on an 18v center-positive supply. “Whether you need to win the battle against feedback, handle complex effects chains, brighten up a dull instrument or just plug into a PA, the Acoustic Pedal has you covered – in top-notch Orange style,” Orange Amps detailed.

The Orange Acoustic Pedal is already available for $169.
