Some MIDI pedals are just used to change presets or patches on another connected pedal. Others let you switch between different amp settings. Others still act as tiny programmable drum machines that you can carry in your pocket. While often unfairly maligned in the past, these little stompbox controllers can let you shape your whole sound on the fly without all that “bending over and fiddling with teeny tiny knobs on a dark stage” nonsense.
