The engineers at Dunlop has reproduced this elusive, long-lost pedal and loaded it into a compact chassis. Upon examining every fuzz circuit design used by Hendrix throughout the years, the sound was narrowed to the vintage Octavio Fuzz sans the octave up signal. The FFM6 boasts a biting and more aggressive sound. It also features true bypass switching and LED On/Off status indicator.

Throughout the years, the Fuzz Face has witnessed different variations by several creators. Dallas Arbiter created the original Fuzz Face, featuring Fuzz and Volume knobs in a housing inspired by a mic stand mount. Even during the first production phase, there is some difference in the circuitry and color of the pedal. Fuzz Faces were later manufactured by Crest Audio as well as Dunlop. Dunlop’s Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face is constructed to the exact specifications of the original Fuzz Face from Dallas Arbiter, featuring vintage specs and original germanium PNP transistor design.
